Snow: From the 26th Floor

2 12 2007

We woke up to a gorgeous snowstorm this morning and it was a totally different experience from the 26th floor. The flakes were huge, like small feathers, and there seemed to be little wind. From my vantage point in bed, it looked like we were in a snow globe. I could just see the tops of a couple of buildings and the flakes didn’t seem to be coming down so much as slowly floating by.

The only thing to be done was to roll out for a run in Central Park, where the dogs were smiling and the kids were already playing in the snow. It was a very pleasant jog in the park and I had everything I wanted as I walked back to the hotel from my local shop with a large coffee and the Sunday NY Times under my arm.

The Frick opens at 11:00, so we’ll walk up to check out the paintings and then hustle off to the airport in the hope that our flight runs on time.

Great posts! You’re right IN New York, and what you’re writing makes it sound as if you’re living there.
