Large Doses of Chocolate

2 11 2007

And speaking of large doses of chocolate, according to The Nielsen Company, U.S. consumers are expected to purchase more than $2.1 billion in candy this Halloween season. There are about 36.1 million children between the ages of 5 and 13 in the U.S., which means that each of these kids consume about 3 miniature candy bars, a box of Nerds and a sucker of indeterminate flavor, while their parents eat the rest. I won’t bother you with the statistics on obesity in the U.S. because I really must get downstairs and unwrap a couple of those miniature Snickers before I have to throw them away tomorrow.
