Go Fly a Kite

22 08 2007

It’s been another tough day on the beach, kicking around in the surf, beachcombing, worrying about Washburn’s alumni magazine. But Deb brought a kite, which is exactly what one ought to be doing on a windy day on the beach. It seems there is always a sturdy wind blowing in off the ocean, perfect for lifting small kites in the air and keep them there through no effort on the part of their minders. It’s been years since I’ve flown a kite and I’ll certainly do it again tomorrow.
